Say a hacker steals a database and all the users passwords are one-way encrypted. This means the hacker has to encrypt all possible passwords and find a hash that matches the one stored in the database. Digital computers have to go through each possible password one-by-one. A quantum computer checks all possible passwords in the same time a digital computer checks one.
Basically, quantum computers don't have to 'solve' problems. They already have the answer.

The most powerfull quatum computters only have 32 qbits, they functions regular bits unless they are doing a the computation for very specific algoritmes except that the process is generally slower. The most power quantum computer in the world, functionally, has 32 bits for ordinary computation but with a more cumbersome procedure. FFS pol get this through your head.
