Tatars are pretty peaceful, and their form of Islam is Suni, which is a lot less shitty than Shia which tend to cause the problems for the West.
Also we do not allow them to take direction from middle eastern sources which is where radicalization comes from. They are pretty used to have government moderation from Soviet times. I'm not sure how much happens anymore, but that is what is required with Islam.
