GDP does not necessary take into account living conditions. India has a GDP similar to that of Italy, yet I wouldn't want to live in India. Also do keep in mind that mass immigration lowers wages for the natives, especially the poor.

There aren't really any economic arguments against immigration. Arguably it's the whole reason why it's even happening in the first place.

Of course the national GDP rises, more people=more people working.
The problem is when you have lax border laws the immigrants tend to use more beifits than they produce so the GDP per capita goes down along with everyone's wages.

There are no jobs for them. The government can't even get them to work the jobs the government invents out of thin air to give them workforce experience.
