I believe climate change is real and dangerous. One of the few things on which I disagree with Trump.

Even on the off chance Man isn't causing it, it's still going to kill us all. We need to deal with it.

We can only rebuild destroyed cities so many times. We can only move farming away from permanent draught so many times.

Climate change = hotter summers, colder winters and more intense storms. We're fucked if we don't stop it

Climate change is real. It has always been real. But is is not man made.

Nobody denies climate change. Its literally impossible to do so. The climate changes every single day that passes and it is unpredictable.

And no, climate change does not necessarily mean temperature spikes of cold and hot weather.

"Climate change" as it is branded now, used to be "Global warming" and after it started to get contradicted by in depth studies it changed its name in an attempt to use the momentum previously had from global warming.

Now i am not really that bothered to go look out for specifics for you, but there are discovery channel documentaries from 2005 that say some "mountains will be deprived of snow at its peak within the decade" and when looked at nowadays, they are still as covered as they were before. And when it comes to the sea rising and taking shores, same thing. "Within 10 years it will be gone" 10 years have passed and they are still there.
It is just the leftist mean of fearmongering.

>The climate changes every single day that passes and it is unpredictable.
very funny

>climate change does not necessarily mean temperature spikes of cold and hot weather.
Yes it does. Due to ocean/air circulation from the poles to the equator, a significant deviation from the current climate processes means that those elements of the climate get more concentrated in their areas; equator gets hotter, poles get colder.

>But is is not man made.
I don't know for sure, or care, whether it's man made. It's still going to destroy farmland, flood cities and raise ocean levels and cause more frequent damaging storms. We need to stop it somehow.

We are coming out of an ice age.

That's why there is still so much ice in the poles.

There is literally nothing you can do to prevent the world from warming back up to its original temperature.

>>71088959
>Yes it does. Due to ocean/air circulation from the poles to the equator, a significant deviation from the current climate processes means that those elements of the climate get more concentrated in their areas; equator gets hotter, poles get colder.

First, the whole world is getting hotter. Not just the poles. Secondly, the climate can change in any way it wants to. It might be damaging and it might be not, It might damage some areas more than others but it doesnt have to necessarily be a bad thing. It turns dead areas into arable areas with enough time and it can also do the opposite.

>I don't know for sure, or care, whether it's man made. It's still going to destroy farmland, flood cities and raise ocean levels and cause more frequent damaging storms. We need to stop it somehow.

Again, areas who were desert might be changed into arable land. Simply because the world is shifting and climate change cannot be purely damaging, otherwise we would not be here right now.

Just as the tendency of mountains to become flat has not made the entire world a homogenous circular structure with no declivity, the climate changing tendency will not carry out the destructive tendencies forever.

It was through climate change that earth became a livable ambient to most species.

First worlders don't need to worry about climate change. We are intelligent enough to be able to adapt to any changes, no matter how significant. The only ones who will suffer are the third world savages who sit around with their hands held out waiting for Whitey to rescue them. This is a good thing because less shitskins means more resources for Whitey to use to launch humanity into space.

Climate change will be the great selection pressure of our time. Only the best will survive.

Climate change is slow. Very slow. It outlived any and every living thing on earth.

Remember when i was talking about discovery and their "10 year future foreseeings" that turned out to be false?
Exactly that. It is a tendency, it is changing, but the left uses it as a fearmongering tool. It is a conspiracy theory that sounds plausible and is masked as a good doer whilst not really doing anything to stop something they know is not truly a problem.

>2+2=4. If I want to get 6, I change the 2's to 3's. Find what needs to change and change it

What if the responsible for this is the sun? Or the radiation? Or the atmosphere shifting?

We cannot stop that anymore than we can stop a tsunami or an earthquake.
When you desmistify the mith it becomes something very impossible to prevent because you come to realization that it is the natural state that has ruled the lives of every single being since life existed in action.

How can we even dare to mess with that even if we could?
>>
>>71090713

It's pretty much the definition of pseudoscience.

>>
>>71090442
>First worlders don't need to worry about climate change.

We're the most vulnerable. The US, Aus, western Europe rely heavily on convenient farming and city locality for supply chains. We have millions more people than the local land can actually support and rely on conveniently placed land elsewhere nearby.

If that changes, modern cities will die/be abandoned very quickly. You can't eat money.

What we're telling you is that this variable is a much bigger component than you might be inclined to believe.

We cannot change the sun, or the atmosphere cycle, or the energy to which we're submitted to from the universe.
Those things are essential things, and changing it would be insanely hard.

So what we're saying is that, there are no policies that can be applied right now to stop climate change, so you might as well just fuel science development as much as you can while not bothering with it in the hopes of being able to do something about it in the future in case it is needed.

i don't know why IPCC and climate change fags won't look at the rural temperatures, they've been detailed in America for over 200 years. You can find the farmers Almanac's online. There is NO correlation between the industrial revolution and temperature.

if you take the urban areas of say New York and San Diego in 1900 and compare them today, ofc the ambient temperatures are going to rise. I'm supposed to believe that "adjusting" these urban temperatures with the rural temperatures with fancy algorithms makes a correlation plausible? It doesn't make sense.

Destruction of environment via general pollution is an entirely different subject than human-caused climate change via "greenhouse gas" emission.

The former is a viable threat to ecosystems, resources, wildlife, and humanity in general. It is a concern that is inarguably a priority for ourselves and future generations to solve.

The other is a shaky and heavily politicized theory with just as shaky evidence to control people through fear and put money in peoples pockets. Except the intensity of storms hasn't increased. You have recency bias.

Pic related destroys all the anthropogenic climate change bullshit using actual observations. The global warming effect hasn't been recorded in 18 years. That's why they stopped calling it global warming and started calling it climate change.

The climate does change but it's not as drastic as the fear mongerers are making it out to be and there is nothing we can do about it.

Black science man is also the guy trying to act like climate change will make humanity go extinct. Fucking stupid to think about when you realize we survived the ice age and the toba event when we were way less advanced. We'll adapt and survive to this too. It's what humans do. It's extremely difficult to wipe out all of humanity.

Their models are wrong, but admitting that would lead to them being out of a job.

It's an excuse to justify raising taxes and shoving shitty legislation down our throats. The government pumps in billions in order to get the results they want.

If you go against the narrative then you're attacked.

If you want a real redpill then look at how they formed that whole bullshit "97% of scientists agree" poll. Look at how they formed it.

If it was so apparent, then why lie to try and create a false consensus.
There is nothing we can do to stop a natural process that will occur with or without us.

In order to "do something" about it we'd end up having to bend over to get raped by china and other countries that don't give a shit about this stuff. It's going to cost the west way more than it'll cost them and it'll probably destroy our economies for something that'll happen anyways.

Actually there is quite a bit of evidence to disprove this ACC nonsense, every time it's brought up people act like someone must've been paid off by businesses to deny climate change, or the results are swept under the rug. Quite a few politicans and scientists have provided evidence that it's a myth, but if you challenge the mythology you're attacked by the cult that believes in their sacred science.

Why do you think they no longer call it global warming? It has been almost 20 years since NASA last recorded global warming, and they had to completely reform their narrative to justify their bullshit, yet again.

Same with Antarctic actually GAINING ice.

>agh the ice caps are melting!! Water levels gonna rise!! We are all going to die

5yrs later

>agh Antarctic is gaining ice. It's changing the salt content in the ocean. We are all gonna die because reasons.

They have it set up that no matter the outcome they can still frame it in a way to support their fear mongering agenda.

In order to do the research you have to have funding. If you get your funding from the government then they'll pump a shit ton of money at you as long as you come to the right conclusion. If you come to a conclusion that disagrees with the narrative then you get your funding taken away. If you go public with that then you're blacklisted and attacked as a shill for big business.

If you secure private funding for your own research then it must be because a company paid for you to lie for them. You're attacked as a shill for big business.

Like they can't fathom that the government uses "science" to shill their agenda at a much larger scale than private businesses ever could hope to.

The mythology has all its bases covered to silence dissent. Just like any cult would.

Firstly, the data in your picture about storms is cherry-picked and massaged to look innocuous. Take a look at some of the real data.

Secondly, the rest of it does show all the increases we're talking about, it just doesn't show correlation to human activity. Even if it's not man-made it's still going to destroy us.

Thought there'd be more to write but that picture is one great steaming pile of bullshit.

Anyone who has actually reviewed the evidence knows that anthropomorphic climate change is real.

That said, it's existence is not the problem, the problem is what people think is justified to do to society and countries respective political systems because of it. At this point, it's almost as if environmentalists want to have institute totalitarian government just to save the Earth.

Scientists have rudimentary training in philosophy, if they have any training at all.

These "modern scientists" that go around proselytizing and doing little else (mostly atheists promoting their pet opinions) have a belief that philosophy is dead. They believe "science" has killed philosophy or that "science" is so vastly superior to philsophy that its necessary to dismiss it entirely.

I blame Hitchen and especially Daniel Dennett for this bullshit, but if you have an hour to spend, you can watch Lawerence Krauss get absolutely wrecked by philosophers in Stockholm. Krauss, beaten into a corner, is forced to admit that the very science he preaches to the masses is based on extrapolated empiricism and that by stretching empiricism onto the unknowns, outside of experience, science "does not work." This is an example of double think with these people, they believe so fervently in their own cleverness and the work of real science to explain adequately (not Objectively) natural phenomena that they can simply apply that to things that we can't know. Thereby believing themselves to be the "new philosopher". And in this arrogance they are utterly destroyed when faced with trained philosophers.

Clearly your culture's history of interbreeding with niggers has affected your reading comprehension skills.

You cannot extrapolate explanations of phenomena (which is what science is) onto things that are unknown. It doesn't work. What Krauss and you are doing is making a value judgement. But this is ridiculous because philosophy is entirely in the realm of the abstract, it can be helpful in some ways in the physical, empirical realm. Likewise, science, while adequate to explain physical phenomena simply does not work in the abstract realm. Science, at its core, is a methodology. If you do not follow that methodology, you are not doing science. There is no debate.

Denying the abstract in favor of the physical is exactly why scientists are failures at non-operational sciences and exactly why science is historically a series of failures. Separating the two leads to such ridiculous notions as common descent and Determinism, that are not inductive or deductive but wholly necessary to fit in the paradigm of Metaphysical Naturalism. This is the irony, that rejecting philosophy as a whole, while relying upon it entirely as an a priori premise. You and Krauss just don't seem to like other philsophies outside or your own materialistic/naturalistic/positivistic/physicalistic worldview.

a small addendum:

ideas like Determinism and Common Descent (which are not methodological science, that is to say non-science) are PRE-REQUISITES, not just necessary, but required by and for materialism. You cannot have a materialistic world without an explanation of origins, you cannot have an explanation of materialism without an explanation of consciousness, thereby pigeon-holing their premises to require wholly material explanations. The entire thing is begging the question fallacies.

"climate change" is not really science, its more of a contested phenomena. There is some science involved, but not enough to convince me that humans are the cause.

Philosophy is worthless though.
It's all abstractions and subjectivism.
Of course if you debate rationalism with subjectivism, the latter will win, because it has no basis of comparison and cannot be judged objectively.
I can't "prove" nihilism or absurdism with any kind of measurement or grade, it's all postulating.
Moreover, unlike rationalism, which directly contributes to human progress, it has no real-world application and the only purpose it serves is inflating the already considerable egos of pseudo-intellectuals who live in a world where their statements can't be challenged or disproven.

Philosophy is the act of thinking, thinking is absolutely not worthless. Before asking a question, there is need of an inductive or deductive mental process.

Furthermore, its as i said before, you are making a value judgement. But i am not criticizing empirical science, but extrapolated, non-empirical science. What Krauss is engaged in IS philosophy. And philosophy has intrinsic to itself, logic by which to determine merit. Saying you cannot "prove" one philosophy implies that you can "prove" something physically (with science). This is absolutely not true, there is no proof in science, there is no objectivity or facts or truth in science.

Science is a methodology based on philosophy for determining merit and this methodology is logic. We just accept certain premises to be true a priori, premises that would obliterate science as meaningful if they were to be changed, such as the stability of reality. We assume that reality is stable enough to test against, but assume that is incorrect and all of your so called proofs are no longer intellectually validated, but are in fact blind increments of cause and effect.
When you criticize philosophy, you are criticizing the basis of science. You are really trying to criticize other philosphies that you don't agree with, and are doing so in a petty, fedora tipping manner.
