The path of ideology eventually leads to great disappointment, because one day you will realize that there is no ideology that works. All ideologies are myths. The free-market is a myth, communism is a myth, socialism is a myth, you name it.
I wish it was different, and that humanity would strive as a collective or as voluntarily cooperating individuals to better themselves and everything around them. I also wish that man played abide the rules instead of trying to bend the rules to his will and engage corruption. But nature is really fucked up and doesn't work that way. In the end you realize that all these casualties of one system or another isn't the result of communism, or capitalism, fascism or even any religion, it is the result of human psyche and will and nothing more.
But always remember that there are very basic intrinsic values that one must abide if one wants to live a basic life worth living, and if one wants a peaceful death. Don't engage in lust, gluttony, greed, wrath, envy, pride or sloth. Think rational, open-minded and clear. Help those in need, but don't be naive. Don't use violence is not needed, but don't be weak or apathetic. Seek deep inside your heart at night and calm your head when you can, so you can rinse your mind of all evil thoughts that may enter and thus enter a state of peace with oneself and one's ego.
