Can't be arsed to address your questions but I will say don't depend on university to teach you enough to get anywhere near an entry level job.
Uni programming modules usuall stop basic data structure, if you're lucky maybe they'll teach some Swing in your java course (which you'll never use anyway because java work is all backend and you'll never actually make a traditional app).
So do some courses on udemy or some shit, make sure your java skills are advanced.

I've worked with Indians... quite a few of them actually. Most of them are mediocre programmers at best - but they really learn to talk a good game.
They seem to stay on top of the latest trends and learn to be conversationally adept in discussion about them. But when actually faced with writing code, they're usually just fucking terrible.
I think 90% of them are just trying to hard-work their way through the beginnings of their career in the hopes that they'll be promoted to managers, or maybe luck out and get a tech lead job at some unsuspecting company.
I've watched Indians completely destroy companies. They hire their own kind and try to create jobs for one another. They'll work late to show off to the execs, and then use their go-getter facade to squirm their way into architectural roles...
I'm in the process right now of having my last project completely scrapped in favor of some indian dude's pipe-dream. He has no idea what he's doing, but he's convinced the CTO that he has the plan. Now we're flushing two years of work down the toilet because some indian guy knows how to talk about microservices, mongoDB, and tokens.

Not really. Java was made partially with the intention of making applets for the web but that purpose has died down considerably when better things took its place. Not better, rather better suited. But java still has its place in back-end stuff. Minecraft was programmed in Java. So even without the whole web applets thing it's still a very widely used language.
