That's funny, since my gf's been watching episode after episode of that on Netflix since she found it. I've watched quite a bit of it with her and there were a few episodes I actually remember. I was only a baby when it first released on TV but watched it a few years later when I was elementary school age. These people are victims of cult mentality. People who follow cults are impervious to all reason, but are very weak to blows to their egos. Low self esteem is what led to their cult participation in the first place. When that benefit disappears, the appeal of these ideologies vanishes.
