Capitalism to me seems to be the system with jews at the helm and mass degeneracy with everyone worshiping brands/products, pop-stars, sports franchises etc. etc.
Whereas communism seems to be all about structure, work for all men, family/community unit and so on.
Am I missing something?

I will give you the short version.
Communism is a form of totalitarianism, they state controls prices and wages. This results in low income for most people. Also, since the state is so big it can easily become corrupt. Resulting in famine and poverty.

Right from the start they had to shut down any threat to the state, so they go after the Church with phony trials, and then they need to get those that think to much, the intellectuals and the children of the old middle class, then Stalin comes along and he sees enemies everywhere so they just have quotas to arrest people, anyone.
When the Soviets 'liberated' POW camps from the Germans, they didn't welcome their comrades with open arms. They interrogated them as to why they didn't die fighting. They accused huge numbers of collaborating and sentenced them to 10 years gulag. The British and Americans handed over Russian emigres and POWs to the same or worse fates.
The Russian Liberation Army is particularly interesting. Formed by anti-bolshevik Russians allied with the Germans, they rebelled against the Nazis during the Prague uprising and fought off the SS. After saving Prague, they had to flee the Czech communist sympathisers and tried to surrender to the Americans. They didn't accept their surrender. Eventually caught by the Soviets they all got killed.
State controlled systems are just all round terrible because they don't permit dissent. Check out Lysenkoism - one misguided policy ends up condemning Russia to terrible inefficient agricultural policies.
