Litterally welfare for people unemployable in the private sector, who gives a shit.
The private sector wage is driven down by H1-Bs

Nowhere is it legal to advertise a position, then change the salary based on the gender of the applicant.
The published discrepancy comes when female kindergarden teachers are thrown in with male petrochemical engineers in the same calculation without allowing for outliers.
More women choose lower paying jobs and spend less time at work, so broadly speaking earn less than men, but no one earns less than another person in the same job based on gender.

Actually, they do. It's just that women ask for less money when they get the jobs than men do, and ask for less money on raises than men do. The data above was even in the LA times, but they tried to spin it as some huge problem everyone except women have to fix, when women are the weakest link in this situation.
1. Adjusting for a handful of obvious factors gets it up to women earning 93% of what men earn. Adjusting for more would presumably bring it closer.
2. We still have the older generation in place, when there was actual, measurable sexism in the workforce.
3. If you read more recent papers, they tend to do more statistical backflips to massage the data into looking just as bad as it always has.
4. Both women and men show an implicit bias towards men being leaders. Even if part of the pay gap is real, it's as much the fault of women as of men.
It's nonsense.
>>71025155
There is none. Women as a demographic earn less than men.
This is because they do not aspire to work high-paying jobs.. If you examine high paying fields in STEM there are few women but massive pushes for young women to enter the area. A woman can experience all manner of assistance to gain education or employment in these fields.
