You do this so that you can turn them against each other. The family of the shooter says "it's not our fault, we did everything we could, the mental health agencies are to blame"
Then the mental health agencies say "it's not our fault, we did everything we could, it's the guy who sold him the gun who is to blame"
Meanwhile, the gun maker is saying the same thing, "we just distribute them, and we have this educational course for franchisees who sell our weapons, so we do everything we can, it's the guy who sold it who is to blame"
And the police department says the same thing and on and on and what they're all doing is actually getting evidence for you.
And it goes on and on until it's not you versus the guy who sold the gun it's you + the manufacturer + the shooter's family + the state mental health agency + everyone else vs. the gun seller.
