But yeh, specifically those statistics have been proven false several times, Rummels works aren't used anymore (you wont find any history papers referencing his work) because he was bias to the point of absurdity. He also got into trouble for bending history to fit his interpretations.

Hitler had to round them up, as they opposed his country completely and vehemently. He tried to ship them off, but no one wanted them. Eventually, Germany's supply chains broke and famine and disease ran rampant. The first people to be affected were prisoners in camps.
The stories are probably not entirely fictional, though many are certainly hoaxes and exaggerations. Another explanation is that the Jews did not understand the mechanations of running a POW camp, and interpreted de lousing as gas chambers that they inexplicably survived, interpreted intermittent food shortages as Nazi torture methods, and interpreted intracamp punishment for breaking rules as random acts of violence.

It's hard to imagine that a cold war at the very least would have been avoided between the Japs and the Germans once the war was over. But the Japs couldn't have wiped out the population of Australia without serious backlash. best case scenario, Australia would have become a satrapy of colony of Japan, with Japs in a privileged social and political role. Worst case, Austrlians would have been moved back to Europe or South Africa.

If Germany had wanted war by 1939 the production outcome or war material would have to be larger. Even in early war time the Germans were expecting a short war, after the fall of France and the generous peace terms send to Britain it was logical to think so and no heavy industrial mobilization was needed.
Propaganda says that Nazis where war monger monsters but the production numbers says otherwise.

I have yet to hear of a nation without enemies; there's truth in your claim, but you eschew all other senses of nationalism or national identity to defame everything nationalist as negative, warlike, conquest oriented. It doesn't take a PhD to realize that's absurd, and much of nationalism in inward-facing by nature. I get that you're a leftist in your view on this, but there is positive nationality, without which human groups are consumed and colonized by hostile neighbors. This is why there are no hunter-gatherer pre-historic matriarchies left, for example. You need a strong identity to resist predation from external groups; this begins with simple tribalism, and extends to the abstract notion of the "nation", variously defined.
