I watched a flying bug struggling for an hour to get out of my pond. To that bug, that was all that was important. Nothing else mattered, not my divorce lawyer, not world wars, not Taco Bell. Just escaping the pond.

I get that the universe is everything, so I guess us becoming conscious and aware is in a way the universe becoming conscious, but I don't think the universe has any sort of collective awareness. Then again you can only really speculate.
