Do you guys even realize that battlefields back in the day were rare and were mostly fought as sieges? It was even true for Ghengis.
One of the reasons he was dominant was because he was very mobile over large distances of land. Now if you have a concentrated force inside a fortification, the opponent has to leave a pretty big chunk of his army behind to maintain the siege. If that fortification is at the sea, it will never fall without a battle because mongolians didn't have any seafaring knowledge. All they could do would be to loot different unprotected cities all the time, which worked fine for Hannibal for 14 years until he was btfo at Zama.
Caesar would probably not risk an open battle. He would try to maintain strongpoints and then counter attack when the enemy would be too outstretched.

Its really is hard to say. From my understanding Europe would likely survive but the Mongolians still have a good shot at it, regardless they'd fuck shit up. Their siege tech was behind Europe and they'd have a much harder time a assaulting castles. The trick however would be making sure Mongolians didn't obtain European siege technology i think. Also the terrain is an important factor despite faggots discarding it Europe is more compact and they'd have a better chance scouting the Mongolians.
Europe would need to work together and they'd need to utilize the peasants so they spot Mongolian positions and report them so they dont flank / out maneuver them. That said most soldiers were men of arms, inexperienced kinda slow and didn't know how to follow commands to the letter like the Mongolians killers did. Europe would have to have more outwit then Mongolians had might and wit but they're adaptable just as the Mongolians were.
