I also don't see a point in deleting it. I may not garner a significant amount of utility from my account but I do garner some utility and there's no downside that I'm aware of (I haven't made a status update in more than four years, I don't have any personal information up-even my birthdate is set at a random date, and my activity is limited to liking photos/posts of personal accomplishments of family and a handful of close friends as well as the aforementioned pm'ing).
It's essentially a private messaging service that shows the world that I'm a normal, functional human being.
You can't delete your account anymore anyway. Only disable it.
Facebook is a wall of noise and has outlasted its usefulness. I deactivated it but I log on from time to time whenever Trump says something outrageous, I like to read the butthurt.
