It's probably not the case in many of the STEM related classes, but any discussions I experienced in the humanities constantly turned to people's political feelings about the material rather than any meaningful engagement with the text. A lot of the teachers would blow these students off and redirect the class back to an actual discussion. I feel lucky to have went there before trigger warnings became a fad at Universities, I can't imagine some of the courses I took being taught without the leftists having conniption fits.

STEM here is pretty good if you know the ropes. Chem undergrad department is a pain in the ass with over-zealous Lab director; Organic chemistry is very fun(I think either last year or the year before that one of our profs from ochem won a nobel prize); the rest of the biological sciences(especially neuroscience) is pretty interesting in my opinion and theres a lot of noteworthy researchers getting into groundbreaking research. Demographics wise it's pretty much split into a few groups in STEM(at least in chem i'd say) you got the East Coast kids who are pretty smart conservative types, the West Coast kids are very laid back and mostly from the OC, and then we have the fucking internationals.....mostly a bunch asian/indians who don't talk to anyone outside of their own and I think they tend to cheat the most. If you're a normal white guy I think you'll do fine(stay away from politics or keep it light) and make friends with west/east coast kids mostly white/asians and you'll have a good time. Internationals are kinda pricks if you ask me-- a bunch of entitled hong kong rich asians who think everything can be bought-including grades. You're welcome.
I just graduated with an Electrical Engineering degree from this red-pilled haven. I fucking love K-State. It's a college filled with red-pilled middle-Americans (farm school). I didn't hear a peep from any liberal pussies or SJWs. The streets of Manhattan, KS are filled corner to corner with trucks, which should tell you about the [positive nature] of the students there.

Top two choices(one is USC, one is local, both ranked almost identical) I'll more than likely make the decision based on what I think is the best value given(with financial aid / money off from the private schools) I worked/saved up money for years so I don't have to blindly take out crippling loans.

I formerly attended Salt Lake Community College and I had attended Utah Valley University.
Both are far-left, especially SLCC with its ridiculous political correctness and mandatory diversity unit for graduating with associates degree. Lots of insane communist professors and instructors there.
UVU is ok, but it's a bizarre mix of communist kids and professors and Mormons on the same campus.
At this time, I can't resume college due to personal problems and lack of confidence especially math deficiency.
If I get rich like lawsuit payout, I hire tutors to pass general education requisite math classes and finish the associate degree, then I decide major with perhaps a minor or two.
The problem is, always, the goddamn "diversity" requisite class to complete the degree. This bullshit class means "white privilege and guilt" and "muh slavery and Holocaust and muh tolerance for multiculturalism & third world immigration" propaganda.
God, I hate Utah.
