Just a quick (and friendly) reminder from a Turkish man living in Australia that the city of Constantinople is now called Istanbul. We would appreciate it if you refer to the city as Istanbul as that name is the more culturally appropriate and the old name of "Constantinople" brings back strong association of the Byzantine oppression of ethnic Turks.

Hasn't been for a while friend! Istanbul is the name and it's here to stay! You can still use the term Constantinople however remember it was a name for a city back in a darker less enlightened time.
It would be the same as calling your cities after native locations if that comparison helps.
