In the videos that capture other sailors, they're all smiling and having fun. You'd think that'd be cool but I guess the internationalists gotta try to spin it as Russian aggression. BRB.. perpetual victim complex.

Because Putin is weak and this is a desperate show or strength. The Russian economy is shit and current military spending is unsustainable with gas prices where they are; Latvia, Estonia, and Finland are unperturbed by Russian aggression and are just being pushed further into the arms of NATO; opposition is rising at home and Russians are starting to realize that a weaker Europe does not make a stronger Russia...

Because the Soviet Union never fell.
Its "collapse" was fake-staged from above, while weapons development, particularly nuclear and biological, has continued unabated, all hidden from US radar at huge underground complexes like Yamantau Mountain, the largest nuclear command-and-control bunker ever built, during the 1990s as ordinary Russians were starving.

It is all part of a long-range deception strategy planned in 1959 and denounced by KGB defector Anatoly Golitsyn in his 1983 book New Lies for Old, the only book to ever predict the fall of the Berlin Wall and the unilateral, voluntary withdrawal of the Soviet Union from Eastern Europe.

The KGB tried to assassinate Golitsyn three times.

Even today Russia's Secret Politburo keeps testing the West and its defense readiness as they plan the final phase of the long-range strategy.

Did the sailors on the ship seem buttmad to you? Americans aren't intimidated by these schoolyard tactics and neither are the Baltic states. The only people this might affect are the Russian people who are so insecure that they desperately cling to any manifestation of the "Russia stronk" meme (see:Crimea)

Now that's there no oil money Putin's warlord reputation is the only thing keeping him from being overthrown.
>>
>>70974210
Zyuganov is controlled opposition.

Don't you find it weird that ALL the four largest parties in Russia are all led by former KGB men and former high-ranking CPSU members?

It's literally out of Stalin's playbook.

I understand your concept, but let me assure you. There is no plan, or if there was, they abandoned it long ago in favour of personal enrichment.

They're all friends of Putin or friends of his friends. It's very base nepotism that has been engrained in Russian social life since forever.

It's bantz, ever notice our sailors give em friendly waves and smiles while filming them? Think about it from the perspective of the pilot. He gets to sit at an airbase all day long and do jack shit because of funds and suddenly get scrambled to buzz an USN ship. That makes his day and it makes the day for everyone else onboard as well.
>>
>>70971184

Because it's what happening when you send a warship 130 Km from Russian Marine base, 8000 Km away from your own coast.

Come on : Baltic sea is 80% EU water, yet Murican find it funny to sail in the tiny Russian part.

Because your leader is weak and your morale is low. Bush era, heck even Clinton era U.S. military would have shot it down if that happened in international waters. Wait, no it wouldn't because the Russians would know that so they wouldn't do it in the first place.

That's the thing when it comes to these "leaders" who want "peace", not everyone else seeks peace so you just end up getting bullied while others continue aggression.

>yeah b-but Obama ordered the air force to b-bomb Gaddafi and ISIS

Yeah, only because America had a massive coalition to back them up and ISIS had already taken over half of Iraq and Syria.

Face it, despite "seeking peace" the world has only become more unstable with Obama as President.

That's because the Gulf isn't flanked by a bunch of countries that are allied to Russia. Just Cuba. You don't see US destroyers in the Sea of Okhotsk for example. The Baltic Sea is ridiculous to call Russian. It has far more NATO coastline than Russian Coastline. If the majority of the Gulf of Mexico was flanked by CIS coastlines than the Russians would have more of a legitimate right to be there.

Honestly this all just bullshit dickwaving though, on both sides. It's all being used to distract us from our respective countries' internal problems. The US and Russia are never going to war, ever. Both of our leaders know that. We are just using each other as bogeymen.
