The only reason Bernie polls favorably against the Republican candidates is because Independents/Moderates haven't been properly introduced to who he is or what he represents, and so they poll in his direction due to his honesty.
This is mainly because Hillary is too much of a weakling to actually attack him on anything, as she is shackled down by her lies and afraid of any meaningful confrontation. She is a fragile candidate, much like Bernie but he is unaware.
Pair Bernie up against someone with a will to win, who doesn't have the complacency and lazy knowledge that Bernie is a complete non-threat due to Super-delegates, and he will be destroyed so fast your head will spin.
