First, the lack of radio contact is bullshit as you can imagine.

The closeness of the pass was a warning for them straying too close to Russian territory, but is a show of non agreession to fly that close in the same way the Chinese ships shadow American ships just to shoot shit about the sailing weather.
No strike pattern against anything, especially against a naval target, is even close to what they did. It's insulting they lied to us knowing nobody knows about the truth, and those that do aren't numerous enough on top of the fact that they don't care.
A few navy guys have posted stuff clearing it up but that gets no headlines.

This firefight is legendary, these guys were outmaneuvered and no-go'd on the support so they had to escape on their own. With a bit of cover from a 249 ran two gunner's across this bridge to get a bracket of fire on the enemy's positions and covered their platoon's movement, where they escaped this village they were in.
The film is taken from one of the first gunner's to cross and you can see fire coming from this forested ridge running adjacent to their position, and you can see the whole unit all bunched up in this square right before.

They Taliban have good leadership dude. That's absolutely not their problem. They're not weak, Equipment I'll give you, Training, often not, a lot of them are very experienced fighters who hit hard. They blood let often.
When I was in Afghanistan they hit my base and destroyed a squadron of fixed wing fighters, and our farm, 2 Marines KIA including that squadron's CO 14 Marines and RAF wounded.
Another fire fight they landed a platoon of Marines outside a village and the Marines immediately were pinned down by accurate fire when a sniper shot a man thru the neck. They had to be evacuated immediately under fire 15 minutes in they were that badly out maneuvered and when the helos came to pick them up a marine was shot thru the leg on the ramp and had to be dragged in by the aircrew. The helicopter had 18 bullet holes in it. they were lucky to only have 1 wounded 1 KIA.
