There isn't really a "white culture" the way there is "black culture" in the US. During the slave era all blacks were lumped together regardless of nationality, which resulted in the formation of a single identity. Whites came from different countries and retained their different cultures, so there's no single culture that strings them all together. If you talk with black people from Africa it's the same way; they don't consider themselves "African", they base their heritage on tribe/nationality. Although people from the Caribbean seem to have a shared identity, probably because their respective cultures aren't that different.
