Now I don't think Scarlet Johansson fits the character at all. I don't know, I feel like every character should be played by someone who fits their characteristics, but in Ghost in the Shell, Major isn't really any race in particular. this is true, but the actress they choose is possibly the one majority version that newbies will see and if they fuck the script up then the way people look at the series will be rather negative and the chance of new content outside of Japan will go down the drain. Aeon Flux was a classic and it's live action movie fucked the series hard.
