Sure. You might also be subsidizing an alcoholic.
>>
>>70938773
Whoever wrote that was pretty based.
>>
>>70938773

I HATE THAT IT'S COPYPASTA.

AT LEAST BE CLEVER.

IT'S ALWAYS 'MUH DANCE LESSONS'

HOW ABOUT -- 'YEAH IT MIGHT BE A LITTLE MORE EXPENSIVE HERE BUT YOU CAN SPEAK TO THE ACTUAL OWNER IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM, NOT CALL AN 800 NUMBER AND BE TRANSFERRED THROUGH A THOUSAND FUCKING PEOPLE'
>>
>>70938838
I dont think most alcoholics own small businesses, or even could/manage one
>>
>>70938773
Sure. If the price isn't too much of a difference I absolutely shop local. Also find out which UPS stores and even chain restaurants are franchisees and not corporate held. Corporations aren't bad at all it's just a way to keep a bit more money in the local economy.

>YEAH IT MIGHT BE A LITTLE MORE EXPENSIVE HERE

Enjoy going bankrupt.

Pull the heart string, not the logic.
>>
>>70939048

There are plenty of functional alcoholics.
>>
>>70938773
Let me know when a small buisiness builds a car, road, delivers the energy to drive said car, and a nice air conditioner for it. Then I'll be impressed.
>>
>>70939048
Could manage/own one*
>>
Yes, I agree with that.

But I also know that same small business guy is supporting the local chamber of commerce and for the major part voting for and supporting the same cancerous pro-business policies that hurt me and help big corporations.

I do not feel all that obliged to favour his business over that of a big corporation.
>>
>>70939048
Most alcoholics are functional.

That CEO makes hiring and firing decisions based on profitability. When people don't buy from large businesses entire stores and regions get shuttered and thousands get put out of work. That's thousands of little boys and girls who can't get their overpriced amenities.

Who spends money on jerseys for children? It's just going to get dirty and torn anyways. Get them the cheap K-mart version and they will be just as happy.
>>
>>70939332

BTW, for an example of this, the local retards that gives dues to the local chamber of commerce think that TTIP is a good thing for them because "it's great for business". They don't realize that they are opening the floodgates for big chains go come in and put them all out of business.

In a way I'd be happy if that happens.
>>
>>70938773
It depends on what the product is.

For some items I try to shop local but for others it's impossible. Small electronics stores just don't exist any more, and buying Chinese made shoes from a local store that charges 75% more than Amazon doesn't make sense either.

But when it comes to pleasure spending I spend it 100% local. I visit small non-chain restaurants, and buy beer exclusively from craft breweries & brew pubs.

I can't do it for everything, but when I can I avoid chains and seek out local businesses. For coffee, beer, food, the prices really aren't that much higher than they would be at a mega-chain and the quality is usually better.
>>
>>70938773
The whole point of capitalism is that their is an abundance of products on the market and because companies are try to make consumers choose their products, they lower the prices, inprove quality, etc. If you cant keep up with that then thats your fault. You shouldnt have opened a store next to walmart
>>
>>70939364
It would make more sense to fire the CEO.

Why pay one rich asshole $26m/year for making basic decisions that anyone could do, rather than staffing more stores or lowering your prices?
>>
Youth sports and dance lessons (except ballet) are degenerate.
>>
I hate it when the peasants beg.
>>
>>70939048
Clearly you don't know any alcoholics.

My accountants are alcoholics, and they drink while working and still do a damn fine job.

I also drink heavily, usually go through a fifth or two of Wild Turkey a day. Still have a functional job.

Granted, no friends, no wife, no kids. Just my dog and my truck. Immediate family all died 5 years ago, so fuck it.
>>
I honestly usually eat at local places instead of shit like McDonalds mostly because they provide more food for a better price.
>>
where the fuck do they say "mam" for mom?
>>
>>70939792

Same here. The American chains are not cheaper than your typical Italian pizzeria or local fries and burgers joint.

I really don't see why you'd want to eat at those places.
>>
>small businesses
>in the Democratic Peoples Republic of California

I will as long as they are still around.
>>
>>70939918
There's this one place where I live where you can get a 40cm long "kebab" with fries, big fucking pieces of meat of your choosing and optional veggies inside.

It costs 15zł, which is around 5$ or so.
>>
The only difference between a small business owner and a corporation is one is more successful. GTFO with small business meme
>>
The reason why big chains are successful is because people like certainty.
I know what I'm getting at Mc Donalds and KFC, I know what they will have at Billa, Fantastico and Metro.
Walking into a small business could a waste of time if it sell only brands I don't buy, street food could very well taste like AIDS if you go to the wrong shop.

The upside to small businesses is that the good ones can be very good, the best street food in bulgaria is doner and burger shops that are part of no greater brand.

That sounds like a melancholically awesome life, honestly
>>
>>70939875

Tons of places though it's usually "ma" or "mamma" or "mama". The "a" is not an English "a" sound. It still sounds a bit like "mum" would in English.
>>
>>70938773

>be small business
>employ a single family

>be big business
>employ thousands of people from vast number of families

Nice try socialists.
>>
>>70940093
This is true. But usually if you go buy some local food, you usually hear a recommendation from someone you already know, he tries to get you to eat there because of how good that shit is. Word spreads, it doesn't need ads on TV or anything. If the food is shit the word will get around too.
>>
>>70938773
all that is waste i bet
>>

>ceo
>3rd holiday home

>>
>>70940179

Actually small businesses employ more people by virtue of being less efficient.

Walmart is replacing tons of small retail shops all of which would be employing a number of redundant employees and those employees would usually have it better than if they worked at Walmart because they have more leverage against their employer and the labour market there would be more in their favour.
>>
>>70939523
Pretty much this. The difference between a locally owned gym and a commercial gym is like the difference between a playground and a prison. I pay like 120% more and regret nothing.
>>
>>70939875
It might be from somewhere in the North or North East of England where we use "mam" instead of "mum".
>>
>>70938773
The modern world wasn't made for small businesses or entrepreneurs. It wasn't made for us either. The world is attempting to weed us all out and replace of Merkel's vision of the world.

Trump is the last hope for America and the world.
>>
>>70940096
It's alright.

I inherited my Grandparent's home in the country when they died. Great big farm house, single pane windows, wood stove for heat, hundreds of chickens, cattle, the works.

If it wasn't for fucking property taxes I could live off the land and not have to work. Bullshit. I could do still do that but all the life insurance money, and inheritance would draw out. Gotta save up for some sort of retirement.

Buying guns all the time is nice, new boats every now and then. If I had a wife and kids I wouldn't have those luxuries. I still wish I could find a woman that'd stay with me.

Dunno why, every woman I talk to will talk to me for a couple weeks, then just ignore me sometimes mid conversation(over text). I really don't fucking get it and that is what really drives my alcoholism.

Yeah, absolutely, that's why I support local businesses and it's one of the reasons I'm a nationalist.
>>
>>70939918
Because you order and your food is ready in less than a minuet. You have to wait 10 minuets for a hamburger and fries at the smaller place.
>>
>>70938773
or
OR
I can just buy and eat where there is better food for better price instead of buying your food that is so bad that you have to guilt trip people into eating at yours.
>>
i'd like to, but there are very few local shops that carry anything i need in daily life. if i need groceries, car parts, electronics, or common household items, there are no small businesses that carry those sort of things. around here, they're all specialty shops (with the exception of one hardware store). i mean, if i need candles, pottery, or some crazy organic imported teas and coffees, i'm set.
>>
>>70938773
this fucking dildo
>>
>>70940737
This, I'm only willing to pay a higher price for higher quality products or something actually worth the higher price.
>>
>>70940521
Hmm... have you tried to understand why they do that? Female psychology can be pretty basic at times. Maybe PUA books? Sure a lot of their mentality is shit, but adapt it to your non-degenerate lifestyle and I'm pretty sure you'll pick up on what's holding you back.

I'd recommend stuff by Carlos Xuma, he's pretty red-pilled, and makes for a fun read without all of that 'come at me brah let's smash pussy brah' crap.

G'luck with your future wife, and don't stop drinking, just keep it under control.
>>
>>70941115
I have tried. I'd ask them. They never answer. My guess is they lose interest or something. Or I dunno, maybe I'm too nice.

no you Palestinian nazi anti-semite, this is literally like anuddah shoah

1st you stop patronizing international jewish businesses then you are joining a nationalist party and then you are literally gassing 6 trillion jews into soap and lampshades

THIS IS HOW IT STARTS!
>>
>>70939583
>anyone can do
then why don't people do that?
>>
>>70938773
When you take into the inefficiencies of small scale, all of those things would be better paid for (and more) if the selfish small business owners stopped tying up capital and resources so they can "be their own boss" and instead went to work as employee #5893228 of Giant-Corp.

Truth. Local business are the greatest tax evaders in the nation.
