I recommend call centers as entry-level jobs because there's an emphasis on training and customer service, which helps throughout your career.

I really have two options. Both which I don't really like but will have to work.

I'm lucky for the job I just landed, though. I spent 100 bucks just to celebrate getting a job at a local grocery store that's walking distance from home and pays 10 bucks an hour just to do some basic shit a 16 year-old can do. Luckily it's in a white town. Also, the hours are great, the job is piss easy, it's walking-distance from home, and it's in a quiet area. It beats digging holes and putting up drywall.

for high school kids looking at middle to lower tier colleges: it's fine to get your first 2 years of required credits at a community college as long as you make sure the credits will transfer. it's usually 70% cheaper and algebra is algebra.
