Is it real or is it a conspiracy by da jooz?

It's real.
What would be the benefit of a conspiracy?

Agreed
We have to save our planet!

Bully businesses, voter and political manipulation, funnel money into new shell companies. Idk, there are plenty of benefits for those who lead the charge against a crisis.

nice

The truth is that it is real but exaggerated..
It's never going to make a difference on Earth because of how small it actually is in reality.

If global warming is real then explain why I can't talk to rocks?

Not that guy, but there actually is a very slight chance two IDs will be exactly the same

>>
>>70921862
Global warming? It's real, but has nothing to do with us. It's been happening or fucking millions of years. Global warming, ice ages. I bet the big global warming after which mammoths died was also our fault.
>>
>>70921862
It's real but it's not going to have as big an effect as claimed. Ecosystems aren't so fragile that a few degrees increase over the course of a century will disrupt them.

And ocean levels are going to rise by like a metre or something over the same timespan so it's not really a problem.

A bigger problem IMO is how the carbon we're dumping into the atmosphere is acidifying the surface if the ocean and killing marine life. It won't be catastrophic but it'd suck if surface salt-water fish die off.
>>
>>70922009
To enforce a carbon tax on poor countries so that it is harder for them to compete due to lack of better energy resources.

The carbon tax in general is the end game, they want to tax people for living out their lives and this was the only excuse they could muster.

its 100% fake.

its a dying religion. nothing more.
>>
>>70923368
Carbon taxes are enforced by governments. In fact poor countries usually have weaker environmental protection laws.
>>
>>70923653
Mass extinctions are common throughout history. Life that doesn't adapt will fade from existence and we humans can not stop the progress of time. It would be foolish to think that something can last forever.
>>
>>70926366
Except this mass extinction we are in, the Holocene extinction, is 100% man-made.
The earth will bounce back, it always does, but its entirely possible we won't.

Climate change is real, burying your head in the sands and coming up with insane conspiracy theories isn't going to change anything. It's a natural process that we have amplified vastly, causing these changes to take place over decades instead of millennium

Can't be false. At this level it would be just too hard to falsify the data.
>>
>>70926711
Oh no, our governments have bunkers and enough stockpiled food and entertainment to last several lifetimes. The human race will continue even if you and I do not.
>>
It's real. And, along with pollution it'll be what ends civilization.
>>
>>70928597
I'm pretty sure the tranies stole the idea for the matrix from some book.
>>
>>70922009
Globalism.
>>
It's definitely real, but most people on /pol/ are too niggardly to accept new information that doesn't conform strictly to their worldviews. Something like 98% of climate scientists support the idea of global warming. C02 concentration in the atmosphere is at 400 ppm and was a mere 280 ppm 150 years ago, conveniently at a time when humans were pre-industrial. Changes this huge and rapid in atmospheric concentration have only ever happened when gigantic eruptions happen or when you wait several million years when the Earth sweeps through a natural cycle. But no, /pol/ is right - pollution is just a big Jooish kunspeeracii.
>>
>>70928725

I wasn't very clear, I meant modern human civilization wouldn't make it.Rebuilding isn't impossible, but it would take a long time.

Honestly I think that theres some fun in beeing bullied, specially if u succed anyways
>>
>>70929291
>amplified by humans
More extreme weather, including el nino's like the last one, will happen, and those extremes will keep going up, all as a direct cause of man-made climate change
>>
I have yet to actually see some IT"S REAL propaganda that doesn't have some leftie message.
Every single piece of data I have read or seen have been extremely minute in change and would not be catastrophic at any level.

The arguments solidifying that it's real never actually offer some steadfast and direct way to alter or slow global warming/cooling. It's always about some leftist big gov negative RoI program with huge wastes of money.
Anyone have something to share to combat this?
We are talking actual documentation of CATASTROPHIC events and consequences of the .3 or whatever increase of temp and how humans are DIRECTLY at fault of all this AND how to fix it?
>>
Pollution and air quality is a problem, global warming is not.

The global warming crisis is a great cover for moving money around without being noticed, through "green energy startups" and shell companies.

I studied some Environmental Chemistry as part of my Master's degree.

It's pretty much impossible to predict, think of how weather forecasting is, then project it forwards by months or years with a lot of unfamiliar species involved.

However, there's a lot of incentive to do 'research' on it - if you can convincingly put an environmental spin on an unrelated project, you can get additional funding in many cases.

It's also become something of a religion with social penalties for expressing doubt, enforced by people who don't really have a fucking clue what is going on.

The issue is extremely politicised and corrupt.
>>
>>70931157
This is also somewhat true, but it is possible to get estimates on the future climate, perfect prediction of course is impossible. People tacking it on for funding purposes is nothing new, but it is a bit shady.

Additionally, this is one of those things that should never of been a political issue, and only is because big oil is afraid of losing profits. Ideally the only opinions that would matter would be those of trained professionals, climate scientists, meteorologists and so on, but its gotten to the point where everyone is involved, so its hard to distinguish people who take time and energy to do the research, and those whose arguments have no basis in science, but in politics and personal feeling (which is heavily influenced by the media, which in turn is heavily influenced by big oil)
