Are there any sites that are ostensibly like/pol/ but aren't populated by kids?
I realize I'm playing an away game here, and I mean no offense to the 90% of posters here who sound like angry children. There has to be a place where like-minded adults can discuss not only current events but solutions to perceived problems.
I'm not interested in conversing with idiots who butcher the English language by repeating words they clearly don't know the meaning of (like 'literally' or 'cuck') or spouting racial slurs like 'nigger' or 'wetback' because it's cathartic to write things anonymously that they can't verbalize for fear of repercussions. I want to go somewhere to discuss solutions.
I realize that this place and the utopian alternative I'm suggesting have all the earmarks of a honeypot, but I can't be the only one sick of what this place has become. How do you search for threads? When I lurked (for a good year; a practice sadly not utilized enough among the site's users imo) I'd search by reply count. When I started replying, I went by bump order. Now I go by creation date, and I swear to God that a good third of the threads that get killed in infancy are leagues better than the shit that ends up with 300 responses.
Then again, here I am bitching about the dearth of interesting threads and the lack of interesting replies and I seem to be guilty of both.
I just think this place could be way better. Whatever.
