I had a fight almost a month ago, landed like 4 to 5 punches on the guy.
Broke his nose, slashed open his eyebrow and to this day he is still bruised like if we had fought yesterday.
I was left with a slight mark below my left eye and some swelling, that went away in a week, to be honest i'm surprised he is still completely bruised, makes me wonder if he fought again or did i really fuck him up that badly.

Self DEFENSE. The key word is defense. I have some expierence in shaolin kempo karate which is great for self defense. It's the original system developed by shaolin monks thousands of years ago. The basics teach you to set a powerful fighting stance and then how go move primarily forward or backward while maintaing that stance. SKK builds on itself very logically and easily. The 8 point blocking system is good to learn. Every basic block can be immediately followed up by a counter strike. The system also teaches you how to defend against weapons such as blocking an opponent's arm during an overhead club strike and grappling the club away. Many of the techniques use simple joint balance manipulation of your opennet. SKK also incorporates moves that strike vulnerable soft points which can incapacitate an attacker. Granted muy Thai is probably better but Karate is a good foundation. Don't start with BJJ either learn karate or boxing as your foundation and build from there
