Just to let you know, since blacks are viewed as violent and mean, I go out of my way to fight it.
-Whenever I am crossing paths with a white person, I always say "Excuse me" even if they are not directly in my path and bow my head because I don't want them to think I'm about to rob them.
-I always defer to white people when there is a possible conflict because I don't want them to hate me. I understand that the immediate reaction that most white people have when they see a black person is negative. So I try to put them at ease by being overly nice.
-When ever I see a white woman, I direct my eyes elsewhere because I don't want her to think I will hit on her. If I'm walking down the street behind a white woman I will slow down so there is more distance between us. I don't want her to think I'm about to tackle her to the ground and rape her.
-If I'm unsure about a social situation with white people, I always ask them if what I said is ok or what I thought is ok. I want them to know I can assimilate well into this society as much as anyone else.
Just want to let you now that there are some nice black people out there :)
