Just a friendly reminder that 99% of all economists do not obsess over Friedman, Keynes or Austrian Economics like the internet does. These debates are pretty much over nowadays and working macroeconomists don't think about them anymore.

Clever capitalist Jew that convinces good goys that unions and tariffs are always bad and the only way they can survive is if they whore their countries out to international jewry. He's good for refuting Communists but take him with a grain of salt. Nationalism is the way to go.

>Capitalism is totally voluntary and not coercive
>Socialism is people making people do things they don't want

Literally zero capitalists comprehend the definition of socialism. And the proof is that they keep harping on socialism being "non-voluntary" and claiming that capitalism isn't the slightest bit involuntary.

Socialists think that if they have to work to get money in order to buy food and necessities that they're being forced into doing something that they don't want to. You fucks have the most skewed and entitled view of freedom in the world.

Only a puppet Nixon could pull out publicly to tout the Republican's love for the free market to their constituency.
>>
>>70877427
Once again proving you don't even know what socialism is. In socialism the workers already own the means of production. They're not stealing from anyone, you moronic reaganite shill. It's capitalism that uses literal slave labor and the military to enforce its will to steal as much as possible from the poor to fatten the rich to insanity.

You might almost have a point, if you know what the fuck you were talking about or knew even basic definitions of the terms you insist on using to label your imagined enemies.

He was a crypto-communist who followed Marx's ideas that only free-market globalization could destroy the traditional social structures that hindered the advance of communism.

Oh, and BTW Pinochet was asked by the Chilean Chamber of Deputies to lead a Coup before Allende could hijack the military and pull off his own. And the CIA spent a whopping $500 on anti-communist efforts in Chile, all to fail in stopping Allende from being elected.(http://chicagoboyz.net/archives/4624.html)

I actually comprehend it well enough to defend it in debates, so no, it's not a comprehension problem. There are two very different ways of analyzing things talking past each other much of the time.

What we mean when we say voluntary is that each individual interaction is voluntary. The free market ideal is that you go to the market, and there are many people selling fruit, and if you want fruit you can buy from any of them. If you don't want fruit, you don't have to buy it. And the situation is essentially the same for them - they are shopping for money. No one forces them to accept money, they are free to stay home from the market and just eat all their fruit themselves. They come to sell because they have fruit and want other things they can buy with money. You come because you have money and want fruit. They offer freely, you accept freely, you go home with less money and more fruit, they go home with less fruit and more money, by definition this a voluntary exchange and therefore by definition everyone involved feels they got the better of the deal. If you didn't value that fruit more than the money you would have kept your money, capisç?

So that's our ideal for all interactions. That's voluntary. Our ideal society is one in which all interactions are voluntary, like this. One in which all interactions between people leave all the people involved better off.

Socialists don't want to look at that nitty-gritty detail level of how it works, it's almost like they are completely blind to it. They want to look at the current system from the top down, and re-order it from the top down. It's literally impossible to do that in a voluntary fashion, as we understand the word voluntary.

This quote is related. You want to impose equality from the top down. Which is self-contradictory - if we are equal who then is on top, to impose?

We want to rebuild society from the bottom up, not the top down. Some inequality must be tolerated for the greater good.

>I actually comprehend it well enough to defend it in debates
That doesn't mean shit. No libertarian understands the nature of EITHER capitalism OR socialism. Not even BASIC definitions.

The rest of your post will be ignored, as is the only fitting policy with libertarians.
>>
I can't stop laughing when I see these "red-pilled" "right-wingers" support idiotic Jew rootless cosmopolitans like Friedman or Rothbard.
Like how fucking deluded do you have to be?
They cry about all this shit that goes on, totally oblivious that it is simply a product of liberal capitalism, not some conspiracy.
It's the natural evolution of a system where extreme individualism is the norm, profit is reason for existence and money is God.
You can't have (neo)liberal capitalism and nationalism.
You can't have social conservatism and (neo)liberal capitalism.
For such things to exist society has to be put above profit and economic interests.
You suffer from terrible cognitive dissonance.

Capitalcucks are the dumbest shits of all. They want to return to a time in American history when capitalism was reigned it, yet with the policies of the 1880s, which is impossible. They blame liberals for illegal immigration, when it is the rich who've forced it on everyone to lower their personnel expenses. And their solution is to lower the wages of native workers in White countries while giving the rich more tax breaks and free shit. Libertarians are one of the greatest enemies of the White race possible.
>>
>>70880690
You obviously have no idea what you're talking about. Nice try though, I guess.
>>
>>70880978
Please do counter what I said that was wrong. I know exactly what I'm fucking talking about because it's basic obvious reality and I'm not laboring under the weight of a religion that worships money.
>>
>>70878714
The problem is that you won't naturally have socialized businesses where workers own the means of production in a free market. You would have to use some level of force to stop vertical structured businesses from arising. This is why anarcho-syndicalism is a fucking joke.
>>
>>70878714
How does capitalism use slave labor? Are you referring to slavery in the US? That was a societal problem, not a fault of capitalism. The military "forcing it's will" on other people is government, not capitalism. That's what happens when you have big government, the rich people buy it up and use it for their own gain. Which is why you need government to be small and weak.
>>
>>70880690
>Capitalcucks are the dumbest shits of all. They want to return to a time in American history when capitalism was reigned it, yet with the policies of the 1880s, which is impossible.
I would say these are more Libertarian types that loudly support this. LIke as if it's some settled science.

Nice opinion
>They want to return to a time in American history when capitalism was reigned it
This doesn't even make sense and there's no indication that capitalists generally agree with your incoherent sentences
>They blame liberals for illegal immigration
Says who?
>when it is the rich who've forced it on everyone to lower their personnel expenses
Good riddance, whatever you get paid you're obviously being paid too much
>Libertarians are one of the greatest enemies of the White race possible.

He's just trying to strawman. No one in this thread said anything about keeping the policies of 1880. He's just talking out of his asshole and assuming the positions of his opponents.

Reminder that libertarians support mass immigration from 3rd world countries into developed countries.

If a company thinks wages in certain places or communities are too high they should be able to simply put 250k Africans and Indians into a boat and unload them in the area so that they will depress wages by competing for jobs.

Great story, kid - it gets better every time you tell it. So you lie to yourself to be happy, there's nothing wrong with that. We all do it. Who cares if there's a few details you'd rather not remember.
