The only way this issue can be fought is by punishing mainly the people who employ illegals. Right now the left can claim moral superiority by saying "YOU'RE BREAKING UP FAMILIES AND ARE A BIG MEAN RACIST!"
The issue needs to be reframed so that WE have the moral superiority and can say "THESE COMPANIES ARE EXPLOITING THESE PEOPLE!" and then severely punish businesses for hiring them.
