Gringo here, I lived in Brazil for a year, I speak pork-and-cheese fluently, and I married a few Brazilian women and even have Brazilian children.
I firmly believe that Brazil will always be a third world shithole because of her race-mixed population.
During slavery, Brazil took in ten times the number of slaves as did the USA (a fun fact which you will never hear in a US classroom), and then the Portuguese Colonists, who were almost exclusively men, then bred with their African slaves and the indigenous native Amerindians.
Now, 400 years later, Brazil has a population with so much black African genetics that the average IQ has been reduced to around 85. Consequently, Brazil will always have the problems that are caused by low IQ, such as poverty, crime, illiteracy, infant mortality, lower graduation rates, lower GDP, and the list goes on.
