At 1:17 he makes parallels between Alt-Right and Liberals since both groups have words they use to insult undesirable people from their sides. That's fairly accurate. People on the right mock people, people on the left mock people. Ok. He shows that there's one thing these two groups have in common, sort of.
Then he uses this to say in the very next sentence
''This new IDEASPACE is not radically different from a progressive's safe space and functions much in the same way''.
What he does is he asserts himself as an honest authority on the subject and he assures you that he has done his research. He frames the narrative in a way that there's some similarities between Right and Left wing, and then he uses this narrative to associate Alt-Right with with something negative. It's excellent manipulation and the words he chooses, and the intonation is perfectly crafted to trick people into having a negative view of Alt-Right before he has ever started speaking about it.
So, is Alt-Right like safe spaces? A safe space is where all dissenting opinions are banned. Such a thing doesn't exist on the alt-right. There is no such thing as an alt-right safe space.
He's dishonest, he's a liar and he is using semantics to argue instead of making real points and addressing real issues.

He spent months ripping on Trump. He would never addess a thing Trump says, he's just say ''I disagree with him on some things'' and then call him a buffoon in a very condescending manner. He kept doing this for months, just bringing up Trump and calling him a buffoon, because that's a word he can use without having to provide an argument.
Then months after doing this he did a livestream where he watches a Trump interview. In that video he says that it's his first time watching a Trump interview, so the guy had spent months just ripping on Trump and calling him names without even having ever seen a Trump interview.
In the video he does his usual emotional manipulation and mental gymnastics. He calls Trump a buffoon all while saying that he actually likes Trump because he's such a clown etc. Then he strawmans him to death, pauses mid-sentence to make fun of strawmen.
