What does /pol/ think of Saddam? Personally I think he was exactly what the Middle-East needed. He was intending to erase one entire Islamic sect. He attempted to modernise the sands with the arts, schooling for both genders, nationalism, economic prosperity and most importantly, was based as fuck in dealing with U.N. sanctions among other things.
Joseph Sassoon's 'Saddam Hussein's Ba'ath Party: Inside and Authoritarian Regime' is a pretty good read for context.

Saddam was a Sunni extreminist who wanted to kill all Shi'ites and Kurds. The groups targeted by Saddam are actually the LEAST likely Muslims to be terrorists.

Think about this though.
With only one sect, those that agree with one another primarily, there is one less country in the Middle-East that breeds radicals.
These dictators like Gadyboy and Saddam quashed mountain coons left and right.
Importantly though? Both dictators mentioned were Sunni. It matters not which sect they were. Yet they were Sunni. There we have two dictators working toward Pan-Arab nationalism. Working toward Arab unity. One people. The principle is similar to the volk. It does not matter who is in charge so long as they are not arguing among themselves and creating problems for others. I truly wish the dictators of the sands were left alone by foreign intervention, the power vacuums left by the Jew inspired invasions decimated the potential future of these nations, Islamic or not, the lack of any effective authority leading from 9/11 to the refugee crisis. UN Jewcucks tried to keep some sort of peace, but the Middle-East cannot be ruled with a Western mindset. Truly, what advantage was there in deposing Saddam?
There were two choices:
a) Majority Sunni Pan Arab nations supplying oil to all
b) The Jew's Saudi wife - The Sauds - feeling envious and demanding the Jew's American cousins convince the West that an invasion was completely necessary. The West then doing so, creating a vacuum. Funnily enough, it also gave hundreds of foreign corporations a government sanctioned excuse to 'restore' Iraq under the Coalition Provisional Authority and Iraq Relief and Reconstruction Fund which, not only were highly inefficient and poor in their tangible effect (e.g. actually reconstructing anything without structural failures killing multiple workers), also allowed millions and millions of taxpayer dollars to vanish.

Do you not know what nationalism is cunt. He was a secular lad that wanted a stable nation. How is that then achieved when you have multiple factions infighting? Solution's simplistic, wipe one side out. Who gives a flying fuck if the majority is the loser here, leaving only the minority left- the minority are those that align with the leader's ideals, else they would be dead. Those living breed the same ideals in their children and so on and so forth as those very same children pass on increased standards of living, education and comparatively progressive views (to other Islamic nations. Can't compare West and East progression). There could have been a normal country. By wiping out the majority, there is a smaller group to control with greater ease to install what is required for the future. The masses of uneducated dunecoons are disposed of, win win.
