I'm an aspie who's learned how to be a normal person and I have tons of these cringey/funny memories. High functioning autism can be over come if you have a good, stable two parent household (mine started disappearing after my red-pilled Nigerian step dad started teaching me how to be a man at 13). My Dad died when I was 10, so I didn't start acting like a normal person until I was about 18. Mom tried her hardest, but I was already inactive enough and being raised by a single mother really screwed a lot of stuff up. I do agree though that most people really aren't even trying.
