The Portuguese from Portugal make the S sound in the middle of words a sort of mix between a "j" and a "sh". In general, the language sounds more Eastern European. The BRs also use the gerund more than the Portuguese. Additionally, like in grorios nippon, there are different methods of reffering to someone with language depending on the level of respect, using "voce" or "tu" forms or archaic "vos" acocrdingly, but in BR, they just use "voce". They also use some different nouns.
Some BRs don't understand Portuguese people but most portuguese people understand BRs, except for deep deep BR.
