Not really. Hitler actually did a lot to improve the standard of living in Germany, particularly for the working man. It's also one of the reasons he lost the war.
When the war started, Germany kept producing regular consumer goods, and kept the 8 hour work day until 1942/1943, under the assumption that it would be a short war. As a result, Germany didn't reach peak production until late 1944, when the war was already lost.
If Germany had declared total war and focused on war production in 1939, Germany would have streamrolled Russia.

I'll definitely agree that the economy went up because of the thinly spread rearmament process, but a shortage of steel in 1937 AND hitler's dismissal of Neurath (foreign minister), Schacht (economics advisor), Blomberg, Beck and Fritsch, ALL of whom opposed invasion of Poland meant that Hitler just wanted to conquer his neighbors and expand his racial goal while acquiring land "fit" for true German citizens. Russia??? No one gives a flying fuck about Russia, Hitler just wanted to expand in order to kill more Poles and push back the Easterrn front. To Answer your question OP (to the best of my knowledge). The Nazi party failed for a number of big reason and an even bigger number of tiny reasons. Hitler hated bureaucracy which would inevitably lead to power struggles in each sub group IE. SS, Wehrmacht etc. this happened everywhere. These power struggles led to inefficiently run groups who were all struggling to be Hitler's best lap dog. This is partly why Goring was appointed Economics minister after Schacht "resigned". This was one of the biggest failures in Nazi history and was a huge contributor to the downfall of the regime. Hitler did things out of spite. He was fueled by vengeance and took amphetamines literally everyday since his horrible wounds received because of WWI. His dismissal of top advisors (who obviously knew their shit because look what happened) is also a glaring reminder of how a power mad dictator can ruin a country. He neutered the German Parliament after the death of Hindenburg in 1934 and made every single armed forces member swear an oath of loyalty to HIM. His plan All along was to rearm and retake land taken from Germany and then spread out even larger to take care of the Slavs, Jews, Gypsies etc. his allies were of little help as well as Mussolini was obsessed with sending troops to Franco which greatly depleted efforts at the onset of WWII, Finland and Hungary bailed completely like bitches and Britain and Russia went from hopeful allies to bitter enemies. If hitler had closeted some racist shit and played the game with the UN a little bit Germany would've been good. Hitler had no chill, and he paid dearly for it.
