at age 20 I have never used drugs or alcohol even once. Never consumed any sort of substance besides antibiotics and vitamins for health. I can know with certainty that every action, decision and choice I make is 100% sober and rational to the best of my ability. Each moment, I perceive the exact reality of which I am in. I can formulate complex thought and face fears without dilution, and I grow at an accelerated rate. The risks and rewards and failures I encounter weigh greatly on my emotional and mental well-being, so I live and learn to the fullest extent. I never have to worry about health risks caused by alcohol or drugs. I am never cross with the law unless I am making the decision to break the law. I am in the greatest state of self-control possible at any given time.

I was too poor for drugs as a kid and teen, and thus never acquired a taste as an adult. Never tried liquor either due to a severe food allergy that prevents me from doing so.

I pour my all of my energy into hobbies, work and most importantly my gf.
I used to be an alcoholic. I was able to get my drinking down to 1-2 times a week (after 1.5 years of getting black out drunk 3-4 times a week and another 2 years of getting blackout drunk 7-8 times a week).
My gf changed the calculus behind my drinking and made my sober life just not shitty enough to go through with quitting entirely. I'm close to five months sober now and I've been running 40 mile weeks for the last two odd months.
I see my gf every day. We've spoken about kids and marriage. She knows about my past with alcoholism and other sketchy stuff (even that my parents thought that I had autism as a child). I took her virginity. Truly a godsend- I'd probably still be drinking and very likely be in jail (I was up to some sketchy stuff right about the time I quit drinking and my luck was running very thin) if it wasn't for her.

bro I got some bad news. One day, you'll face a situation that makes you want to not be sober. A loved one dies, a woman wants to get inebriated romantically, you'll see yourself fail while nonsober people succeed. You'll get excluded for your sobriety, parties where everyone got laid, group adderall sessions where the elite study, all of the smokers at work are closer to each other than they are to you. Then you'll try something close, gambling or sex, and become enthralled at how great it is. You'll find yourself jacking off for 8+ hours, or spending an entire paycheck at the holdem table. Eventually something will make you say, "Fuck it, I don't want to live anymore" and you'll do a bump of coke or a shot of vodka. Then things will be ok for a day. Most of us are at this point and not total slobs so if you think being 100% sober is the best way to go, then I wish you the best. But you've got another 50ish years to go, so let's not count our chickens before they hatch.

I work, a lot. And I don't mean with just my career. When I'm not at the office or in the field I find odd jobs to do on the side in my spare time. Whenever I'm not doing any work, I am spending time with my wife and son, going to the park, playground, beach, etc. I still have free time to play Dungeons and Dragons once a week with my friends, or play video games. Just keep yourself busy and engaged in tasks you enjoy and drug use dissapears.
