I am not religious and I think religions hold back human progress. And when I say "religions", I don't just mean beliefs related to god(s). I'm talking about ANY of the many strident "faith-based" irrational dogmas, including nationalism (the most dangerous religion), capitalism, communism, and even New Atheism, a type of evangelical atheism where its top proponents promote the idea that there may need to be a war of civilizations between the West and the Muslim world, because they wet their pants in fear over terrorist attacks that kill less people than furniture. I find these people to be dangerous idiots.
