In this thread we talk about the events that transpired over three years. 2009-2011.
Juice Rap News I think did the best job shining a light on the important stories and topics and asked all of the right questions. If you are younger or need a refresher, watch it and join.

Does anyone else remember when the world was on the brink of revolution?

Remember the mid-2000's war propoganda?
Then collateral murder was released. Then the Afghan and Iraq war logs. Most Americans were completely oblivious to the massive civilian toll before this. The conversation about the war shifted forever. Most people forget what it was like before.

Later, our president is awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for not being George Bush.
A preemptive distraction so Obama could extend and expand some of Bush's most controversial policies such as PATRIOT ACT and the drone warfare program (which would become his staple).

Then this sandnigger self-immolated and ignited the Arab Spring.

There was a call for democracy across the Arab World. This was before the US was involved. The dictators they put in place were coming down like the Saddam Statue in 2004.

Osama was killed in Summer 2011. During the week after Obamas speech the story changed over 9000 times.

A few months later, taking cues from the Arab world's calls for democracy, Occupy Wall Street happens in New York in October. Despite what the narrative was at that time, Occupy was about the same problems we are facing now - extreme corruption in our government and banks, wealth inequality, corporate greed, money in politics, etc.
(i was in NYC on day 6&7. and if you look at the signs you will see it's no SJW movement of today - although it became one -).
Except as RAP NEWS so well illustrates - it was a pivotal time. I'll come back to this point later.

Within the month, Hillary Clinton and the Obama administration turned on and in part killed Momar Gadaffi - which Obama recalls as his "biggest mistake" - and resulted in the complete collapse of MENA (middle east / north africa)

Occupy Wall Street began to see the full extent of the militarization of US police - using extreme force (actually though, not like black lives matter), arresting thousands of people, using sound weapons, rubber bullets, tear gas, tanks.

I almost forgot Cablegate. Around this time, the largest leak of diplomatic cables in history was released by Wikileaks.
It revealed the true world of diplomacy - spying on allies, backstabbing, whores, and more.
Speaking of whores. Pic related.

Occupy Wall Street was infiltrated by CIA/FBI and with the help of trust funders within the movement, completely pacified the movement by winter.
I also think this was a beta test of using social justice to turn attention away from the elite and in turn cause the people to eat themselves.
Tinfoil, but I think it's true. PSYOPS shit.
stop quoting your owns posts jesus

With the death of OWS and Gadaffi our paths were paved. We are where we are today because of those pivotal moments.
The revolution is relevant again. Bernie and Trump (despite what you may say about them) are movements that only exist because of backlash to the status quo.
This is only because of the sloppiness of the elite though. Election rigging and disregard for democracy by government is waking people up.
The common blue collar worker has been abandoned in our current culture - and people are worn thin.
Well, since no one replied I will end here. But I hope some of you remember why we are here and the importance of the next seven months. This barely touched upon all of the important things that happened from 2009-2011 - but we need to start remembering. It's up to us to shift the conversation away from SJW issues that are only there to distract us.
We (still) are anonymous. We are the 99%. We will put a stop to it - eventually.
