Social mobility in America is lower than any other industrialized country. Hard (or smart) work just doesn't pay off like it does in other countries. If you're born poor, you're probably going to die poor.

The top 10%'s share of the economy is at record numbers. The game is rigged.
>>
>>70747464
And it's due to the fact that half of your country adopted globalism whilst the other half rejected it.
>>
>>70747658

No, it's because we live in a corporate plutocracy.
>>
Just because your manager at McDonald's dosent give you 15 bucks and hour dosent mean the game is rigged faggot.
>>
>>70747464
>If you're born poor, you're probably going to die poor.
if you're born poor and you remain poor it's most likely because your family has a mental defect that is passed down through the generations. personality and intellect is genetic. if you believe that generations of geniuses are being held down by society then you are a fool.

I own two businesses, a Lexus, and my house is paid off. But nice try.

>>70748563

But that's exactly what is going on. Our meritocracy is a myth.
>>
>>70748891
>But that's exactly what is going on. Our meritocracy is a myth.
the myth is that every single person is born with equal potential and if someone doesnt realize that potential it is a failure of society. maybe you havent been around many poor people in your life, but most of them are buffoons. their grandfathers were buffoons and their fathers are buffoons and they are buffoons. notice a pattern? they never had a shot to begin with. they were built to be grunts in factories but those jobs have left and they cannot adapt.
>>
>>70747464

I dunno if that is true or not but I noticed that news talking about social mobility and economic problems has skyrocketed in the last few months. Shit is crazy.

nice retarded chart. how many billionaires are in denmark and finland again? go take a look at the forbes list of billionaires. most of them are new money. if you want to get ahead in the US the only thing holding you back is yourself.
>>
>>70749849
also the countries on this chart are basically states compared to the US. it would be better to compare all of europe to the US instead of cherry picking countries to make a retarded point about socialism.

it's proof that there is a ceiling in other countries. there is no limit to you success. those stupid nordic countries have a floor and a ceiling. the USA has a floor with no ceiling.

also keep in mind that poverty in the US is unlike poverty in the rest of the world. our poor people have full stomachs and iphones.
>>
>>70755244
There's always a ceiling you idiot.
Money is a percent not a value.
The more billionaires there are the harder it is for someone to become one.

bullshit. if my dad painted houses, and I studied instead of smoking pot, I can get a job as an engineer, lawyer, doctor, architect, you name it. and if i have the right skills, i will get promoted and will easily be solid middle-class if not higher.

the entire pie is always growing you numb skull. there is always room for more billionaires. this is not a zero sum game. i wish bernouts didnt get all their economic education from the snake oil salesman himself.
>>
>>70756201
Wait, do you not know how money works?

Money's perceived value depends on it's rarity.
If there is tons of money and everyone is a billionaire, money becomes worthless and prices skyrocket.

It's not like gold or something with a pseudo-stable value. The more money you print, the less it's worth.

The pie can't grow. Period.

And I'm voting for trump, you retarded faggot.

>>
>>70757123
The economy growing is not the same as the value of money you retard.
If everyone was at least a billionaire, money would be worth jack shit, and you need to be a quadrillionaire to buy anything.

STEM is literally a meme. Anyone who gets a degree in anything but business, law, accountancy or medicine deserves all the bad things that happen.
>>
>>70757471
>The economy growing is not the same as the value of money you retard.
we arent arguing about the value of money. we're arguing about social mobility. more billionaires. new billionaires. all proof that we have social mobility.

The economy growing is not the same as the value of money you retard.
also, kek. the value of our economy is directly tied to the value of the dollar. stronger economy = more demand for dollars = value of the dollar increases. so not only are you off topic, but you're wrong.

If everyone was at least a billionaire, money would be worth jack shit, and you need to be a quadrillionaire to buy anything.
again this is a discussion about social mobility and not making literally everyone a billionaire. that's nonsensical.

>>
>>70757970
Holy shit you ARE retarded.
Social mobility has to take into consideration inflation, and every other factor.
Making everyone billionaires is just an extreme example so I can emphasize just how stupid you are.

>also, kek. the value of our economy is directly tied to the value of the dollar. stronger economy = more demand for dollars = value of the dollar increases. so not only are you off topic, but you're wrong.
MONEY IS NOT A PRODUCT. It is a medium of transfer between buyer and seller. It is not effected by the laws of supply and demand in the traditional sense. Most of its value comes from how much of it is in play. Also, the value of the economy is derived from the dollar not the other way around you retard. The economy can grow without the dollar growing.

I grew up poor as fuck. No car, apartments, food stamps, no vacations, no parents, the whole shebang. I went to school in the ghetto. You know what? I made it.

I walk into any fast food restaurant and think "I make more than everyone here combined". How did I get here?

Hard work. It's such a foreign concept to people today. The hundreds of books I've read. The thousands of dollars invested. The shitty job's I've endured. All for success. I never once put my hand out and wait for the world to hand me something on a silver platter.

It's not just millennials who think like this either. Boomers too. Fuck em all.

That last point is bullshit and everybody knows it. Some people in this country don't have clean running water, electricity, or (much more commonly) adequate healthcare. Some poor people can afford a smartphone, but they have to make it last for many, many years. Cars and decent housing are even more beyond reach for many. People aren't dying of starvation, but malnutrition and food insecurity are still very much present.

But hey at least it will be "more equal" or whatever....somehow.
>>
Social Mobility in America is actually at a high. You're a retarded liberal confusing median quality of life with "mobility."

If you compare it to welfare states like some of the oft-touted "good" white countries, you have a middle-lower class that has a nice quality-of-life but mobility is virtually nonexistent, as taxes and the like make breaking into the upper class (as opposed to already being a part of it and being able to use all the loopholes) more or less impossible.

more NEW billionaires. more NEW millionaires. proof that social mobility is possible. you're trying to force the meme that all the rich people are descendants of rich people that have been rich for the last 200 years. not true. there are new people getting rich all the time. the pie is constantly growing. if you grew up in a shithole it does not mean you are condemned to that shithole for the rest of your life. we have social mobility.

>It is not effected by the laws of supply and demand in the traditional sense. Most of its value comes from how much of it is in play.

the value of the economy is EXPRESSED in dollars not derived from the value of the dollar.

>what are literally dozens of accredited universities in each state
It's literally easier for a broke kid to get into college than a well-to-do one. The problem is they major in bullshit degrees like English or African American studies rather than biz, STEM, etc.

OR, and this is more likely the case, these dumbasses think the only way to make it is to ball, sling drugs, or something equally short sighted and retarded. One of my friends is a recruiter for a major university and he's surprised how many idiots there are approaching his table whenever he visits high schools. Most of the people who gripe about social mobility would get eaten alive and dropped back down to their proper class given the opportunity to move up. That's why very few move up and stay there.

No, if you're born to idiot parents then you will end up an idiot, as well as poor (niggers). If your parents cared about your education and showed you the right path in life then you will climb out of poverty. Leftist drones are just lazy and ignorant and want to live a middle class lifestyle while working a brainless service job.
