Because in the Mexican American war, they lost all of the parts of Mexico that contained a significant amount of oil and mineral resources. Many Mexicans come north for opportunity, some were already here and became citizens of the US under the treaty. Many feel (wrongly) that the land rightfully given to the US under the treaty is still Mexican land.

Mexican Americans typically love America. They fought hard to get here and went through a lot of due process to become Americans and have a better life. They do on average hate illegals from what I understand because those are the type of people who ruined their country.
Illegal Mexican immigrants are typically associated with the underbelly of their society or are victims of people who are. Not sure if they really hate America so much as it's just another place that isn't their original shithole.
There are those who think X amount of American states belong to Mexico but it's just another example of this new age generation types who think whining loud enough will get them their way.

They didn't know that at the time, though. The full extent of the gold reserves in California wasn't really known, and nobody had any clue just how much oil there was in Southern California and Texas, or how important oil would become. In that regard, the US was incredibly lucky to take all that land before Mexico was able to use it properly.

The only mexican-americans who hate the usa are Mexifornians who bought the Chicago jew civil rights meme.
Just look at what the hispanic civil rights movement was: it wasn't about race, it was about labor rights for agricultural workers, regardless of race involved.
The biggest hispanic advocacy groups were pro-assimilation, encouraged parents to speak English in households so their kids would learn the language, and are anti-illegal immigration, and are dismantling slowly because they believe their mission is complete.
How much more based can you get?
The only thing we need to do is stem the tide flowing over the border, and give hispanics acceptance.
They are the most compatible culture with the US by far. They are family focused, religious without being crazy fundamentalists, and believe that the best thing in life is owning a bit of land and working for a wage.
