I don't hate Ted Cruz. I remember him from his based stand against Congress a few years ago, where he quoted Duck Dynasty and stood there for like thirty hours trying to halt the monstrous engine of injustice that was being forced upon us.
I'll reiterate: I do not hate Ted Cruz. I like him. I think he's a nerd who wants to make America a better place. I really do.
But he will not be president. It doesn't matter if he stops Trump, and it doesn't matter if he can convince 70 delegates to support him. The Republican Establishment has already decided that none of the people running are fit to hold office. Cruz was a rebel before Trump came along and made the rebels look like stormtroopers.
So as much as I like El Rato, and I mean that, there is a point at which you have to acknowledge that he is part of the problem. His courage and his willingness to kamikaze into the apparent enemy in front of him is serving the REAL enemy--the same corrupt Neocons who got us into this mess in the first place.
We need Trump. Not to win the General, necessarily, but to win the Nomination. Someone needs to loosen the sword so that the Establishment knows that they can't just ignore their voters anymore. Cruz can't do it. He will not win before the convention and he will not win AT the convention. I understand that people don't like Trump. I don't like him either, he's too liberal, but one thing he isn't is Establishment. I don't know what is wrong with Cruz supporters that they think that this game ends any way except with Romney running against Hillary.
