First you would need a big wood chipper, one that doesn't stop/break halfway through and let you with half a body. Not everyone owns one.
Secondly, think about the result, blood, bowels and broken bones, you'll need the hell of a stomach to endure this. Plus you'll have to clean the wood chipper after this bloodbath (and hope that nobody comes while you're doing it).
You might let a lot of tracks of your crime behind you (just think of the blood). If nobody expect the guy to have died in your property you could be ok but if anyone send the Police you might end up in troubles.
So, all in all it's not impossible but as I said it's very messy.
Now it depends of the country. We are speaking of first world countries here but in Africa you can just dig a grave in your garden. If the guy was a criminal the Police wouldn't even really mind (arresting the guy would be too much paperwork).

Sorry man I have to go I can't elaborate but basically the human body is smelly and messy. For exemple, the intestine is really long and, you guess it, full of shit. So if you pass it in a wood chipper you'll spray a mix of human flesh, blood and shit. The smell will stick to your body and to your clothes.
