I used to think that but recently I worry that if Trump loses, anti-immigration and anti-multiculturalism will become no-go topics. In the same way that right-wing authoritarianism became a no-go after Hitler and how those topics became no-gos after Barry Goldwater.
I hope I'm very wrong and the window of discourse indeed shifts to the right, however. Plus, if the GOP implodes by not nominating Trump, a new, ultra Conservative party will likely rise in its place. I just hope it takes the place of the GOP and isn't just a "third party."
