I'm familliar with the scumbags who leave our countries and I can tell you that they have an idealized "version" of the western lifestyle that they want to live and that it's very far from Islamic values (drug, cheap sex, alcohol, general hedonism, etc).
I don't understand why anyone would make this mistake, it's usually 3rd/4th wave migrants who come back to Islam, not the first wave.
