Actually Kosovo was Serbia untill an exodus in the 1700, linked to the Austro Turkish war of 1716. Serbs then migrated north to Vojvodina, those Albanians that had been converted were moved into Kosovo. When Serbia won in the Balkan wars, around 25% of the population was Serbian in Kosovo.
