Just like there are christians who don't believe in God, worship the buddha and think everything in the bible is wrong. But it does not make sense to use words like that. If you call yourself christian or muslim, then it only makes sense if you actually believe in it.
Or else you are just witnessing someone using terms they don't understand or think you might be impressed by. It don't actually refer to the religion.

There is no literal definition to what being a christian means and within christianity there are millions of different views on the beliefs, so there is no way to say if someone is or isn't a christian.
