Hey Frenchbros, I'm an American so tell me about what I care about: les restaurations rapides en France.

Do you have your own? Do they sell baguettes in American chains?
>>
>>70658730
why the hell would you go to a fast food in France
anyway, pretty sure the indeed sell baguettes with all kinds of stuff in it, they do in Belgium
>>
>>70658834
Parce que je suis un bête America américain.

Are the Belgian fast food places more like the French or more like the Muslim?
>>
>>70658730
You order the Royale w/ cheese obviously

>the metric system
>you one smart motherfucker, motherfucker
>>
>>70658834
well over half of the restaurants and brasseries in Paris just microwave their food and take it from a can anyways, so there's not much of a difference

To OP, Paris has a lot of fast food places, but they serve all the food tepid and don't fill the sodas up all the way. Very un-American. The villages have less of the fast food jew
>>
>>70659027
In Belgium you have butchers who sell baguettes, regular fast food and kebabs.
Then if you want real food you can go to some really good brasseries or restaurants.
>>
>>70659070
Oh right. Do other restaurants there have burgers that mimic la royale?
>>
>>70659088
You have to know where to go.
I've never eaten anything resembling microwaved crap in Paris.
And prices are very affordable.
>>
>>70658834
Sorry, 1/3 ADMITTED to it, still a shit load of places selling mediocre product and over charging

What the fuck. That's just wrong. That should be criminal.

>>
>>70659265
Yeah, used to live there and knew some good places, but if you're just cruising around the 11th or Marais with your friends or something and want to walk into a place, you have bad chances of getting decent food.

So that's why you have so many terrorists. Huh. Maybe we should free the shit out of you and build a bunch of McDonald's for your safety.
>>
>>70659273
Well, American restaurants all do the same thing. Not sure why France should be different.
>>
>>70659414
I don't remember where the tourist traps are, it's been a while but usually you can tell from a mile away.
>>
>>70659449
Go on Pierre, just tell us about your fast foods.

France has Quick Burger.

It's bretty good. On par with Whataburger or In-N-Out.

>>
>>70658730
American here, I visited Paris.

Yes they have McDonalds there. Actually, you'd be suprised they are all over. They aren't allowed to display a huge M sign anywhere though so they usually put on in the window of the shop.

Yeah, I think they do baguettes. I also noticed they give you your food in a fancy paper bag. KEK

It actually tasted like nothing, way worse than here. The only reason I went there is because at night everything closes and if you haven't got something to eat by then, you're pretty much screwed.
>>
>>70659674
Lol that's basically what I expected
>>
>>70659629
Quick > McDo but it's a fucking expensive scam.
>>
>>70659552
Because it's supposedly the culinary capitol of the world and the tourist destination of the world. The French pride themselves in their food since they don't have much else, so if their flagship city is selling microwaved food it's pretty shameful. Of course it doesn't matter in the US cause we eat shit and everyone knows it. France supposedly has a tradition and reputation for quality food that is now being undermined by cheap restaurant owners who know that tourists will eat anything and be impressed. Guess it's the tourists' faults too

>>70659557
honestly all the restaurants are either tourist traps or very expensive bourgeois restaurants, not much middle ground

That's because there's no sugar in it.
Ate Burger King in Germany and I almost threw up, it was fucking disgusting.
>>70659823
nah, for 15 yuros you can get a decent meal and top quality
>>
>>70659945
yeah but it's microwaved. even boulangeries in the 16eme microwave their food now
>>
>>70660059
>yeah but it's microwaved
it's not
unless you go for the tourist trap
Rue des Bouchers is the same in Brussels.
>>
why would you go to France to eat fast food?

That's like going to England and buying your tea from Starbuck.
>>
>>70658730
The french have cafes that serve sandwiches and pastries. Quick is a thing, so is McDonald's, but if you want a fast lunch, you go to a cafe. Though I've heard from many French people that fast food is sort of a low class thing to do, it implies that you don't have time for a proper lunch.
>>
>>70659088
>complaining about not having a full half a litter of soda at every meal
No wonder you're fat.

Half English/French here. I'm from Clermont-Ferrand. I grew up there.
You can find fast food 'restaurants' in big cities in France. And England.
McDonald's, KFC, Burger King ... whatever.
But if you want to eat really nice food, just visit a local cafe.
There's usually a daily menu, or some sort of specialty.

It's a popular view that English food is shit. It isn't. I love English food. It's basic whereas French food can be fancy.
My favourite English dishes are sausages and onion with mashed potatoes and gravy, shepherd's pie with peas and carrots, beef stew with dumplings, roast lamb with Yorkshire pudding, Scotch egg with mustard, and a full breakfast.

I don't need to defend French food. It's fucking delicious.
>>
>>70658730
Fast food in France is Kebab

What you call "Gyro". If you're from NYC its the same as "the halal guys" in manhattan, but in every corner
>>
>>70659726
What the hell? Those French hate freedom.
>>
>>70659674
Man, I'm going to walk down the street and rent my velib for tomorrow (in case there's a metro worker strike) just so I can ride to the McDo's in the 13ieme and pick one of these up.
>>
>>70660275
fast food is for drunk people at 3 in the morning and human trash
>>70660364
Yes, Brit food needs more love.
>>
>>70660207
so the 1/3 of restaurants that microwave their food in Paris, all of them are confined the tourist areas? so then the rest of the poor neighborhoods that have far lower income and traffic are the ones preparing all their food fresh on the spot and still charging less?

>>70660359
20 BMI friend. French are pretty fat these days anyways, welcome to the club :^)
>>
>>70659823
So what if they use freezing. It keeps food good longer. It's a miracle technology. Also, the French invented canning.
>>
>>70658730
>baguettes
Those are Belgian not French
>>
I am from Philadelphia but I want macarons. Are the places in Philadelphia that do have macarons subpar?

Why would I think anyone here would know this?
>>
>>70660263
If I drank tea, I would do that. Like hell I'm going to pay the British for tea. Don't you know we fought a war about that?
>>
>>70660531
I think you can't right now, this "burger" is some sort of limited edition.
>>
>>70660585
>so then the rest of the poor neighborhoods that have far lower income and traffic are the ones preparing all their food fresh on the spot and still charging less
yes, that's why it's a tourist trap
it's overpriced and shite food, but tourists are retards

Can someone explain to me why French spelling is so different from how they pronounce their language? If I'm going to pronounce that, I'd say "Sest towt suh kwee Jaime," but when Frenchies say it, it would probably sound more like "Soo le play du bwah," which, of course, is nonsensical. Why can't Frenchies into spelling?
>>
>>70660800
I'm sorry but you're wrong, the poor neighborhoods serve even shittier food because they can't afford the costs to pay waiters and prepare their foods fresh. Whatever, I guess this isn't a concern to anyone

>>70660938
accent. pronunciation is not that different from the spelling actually
>>
>>70660364
Singer French food is pretty nasty. In English we get a word from French food: poison.

I think you might be fucking up there, m8.
'poisson' means 'fish' in French. Not poison.
The double s makes a difference.
Also fish and chips is God tier food. Especially with mushy peas.
My local fish and chip place usually serves cod. But I'm an awkward cunt and ask for haddock.
I can't even describe the taste. Best fast food ever.
>>
>>70663187
No, I understand. That's just that French fish is poison.
>>
>>70658730
Non, ils ne vendent pas des baguettes :( tant pis, je voudrais une baguetterie près ma maison, je la mangerais chaque jour
