I bought a new electric guitar with a credit card a few days ago. (American Standard Strat.) Didn't even check the balance on the card afterward because I know I've got the money.
Older clerk/owner made a creepy robbery joke to the new clerk, inappropriately telling the new guy that I didn't have money but instead had a gun and was going to steal the guitar.
Joke didn't go over well, especially with the new clerk and we all paused for a second.

My post makes me sound like I have a lot of guitar knowledge. I don't.
I am actually a lyricist/singer more than a guitarist. Recently as in the last year I have been watching classical style to see if I can transfer any of their high skill to the steel string electric. Audiences love good riffs that match a song. I do some small venue performance once in a while. It has been about a year since my last one though. I have about 15 original songs that focus on lyrics more than instrumentation.
I've played a cheap starter Yamaha acoustic with steel strings. A Sigma by Martin acoustic steel strings. Mexican Strat and recently American Strat.
Tele's are supposed to be great though.

Ever heard of a Polish guitarist named Marcin Dylla?
I saw his performance at Radford University's International Guitar Festival. His was BY FAR the best performance of the festival.
There were only two other acts that could even be called in his league. His accomplishment was all the more impressive because all the performers were interesting to listen to.
I was not bored with even the least advanced of the performers during the festival.
