Let's look at the military. It has one extremely effective demographic for its combat forces: White males. (Yes, there are some Hispanics and blacks also, but if you served you damn well know the makeup of combat arms and pogues / rear echelon.) I served 20 years ago but would not today. Many others I know have the same feeling - why serve a country that piles shit on you for being white and male?
Once that demo goes out of the military, it won't be effective. If we get into a prolonged conflict where there are lots of mass casualties, the volunteer force (join for college, not combat) will disappear. Then we'll need the draft. And in this divided country that will not fly.
This country is working as hard as it can to shitcan working / middle class whites. We'll see how well that works out.
