I'm looking for /pol/-tier books specifically regarding political philosophy and/or social anthropology. I'm also interested in finding out where Frank Herbert formed his understanding of populations from an ecological standpoint as seen in his Dune series. He applies an ecological perspective in ways that I do not fully understand/ways that I have not ever seen before. General /pol/ book lists are welcome but I am mostly interested in political philosophy and social anthropology. Thanks.

Thanks guys, I appreciate your input. I've read Ride the Tiger already but I haven't heard of Sartoe Resartus. I just read the wiki article and it looks interesting. Anything else?
Haven't read much political non-fiction but Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail '72 is pretty decent
